本次展览集结了来自铜场的十四位/组艺术家的最新作品,以“感性”回应“感性”。

巴迪欧在《当代艺术的十五个论题》中写道:“艺术是一个真理过程,而这个真理往往是关于知觉或感性的真理”。这种“感性”,不是指对现实的感性摹仿或浪漫主义表达,而是指人和世界之间的感性关联。美学,正是这样一门“感性学”。艺术,就是一种关于“在世的感性”的主张。感性问题,关乎人对自身在世状态的把握,关乎到世界对人的意义,以及人对自身的理解。
今天,我们却身陷于感性的荒芜之中。一方面,技术与算法的统御带来了一种普遍的抽象性。这种沙漠般的抽象性吞噬着鲜活的感受力,又借由人机合体的赛博格现实将人的主体性抽空;另一方面,在社交网络媒体的回音室中,人们更像是站在一座座隔绝独立的沙丘之巅,脚下流沙一片,却自以为登高望远。因此,艺术在今天是一个政治解放与人的拯救的问题。感性的衰竭,意味着判断力的丧失与审美的终结,而艺术将终其使命,去恢复人之初的身体经验与洞察能力,重建人的主体性。然而,当代艺术在其诞生之初的激进感性过后,似乎也慢慢落入了话语系统的抽象闭环与体制的景观化操作之中。是故,艺术能否发明一种新的感性,同样关乎其自身的存亡。
本次展览集结了来自铜场的十四位艺术家的最新作品。作为学院土壤中生长出的一股野生力量,铜场的矛盾出身决定了其对系统与主体性张力的敏感。它在长期的教学与创作实践中向自身和外部同时发问:艺术家、艺术作品与展览如何以子之矛,攻子之盾,以自身的景观反抗景观?这一悖论也是本次展览想要回应与探讨的重要命题。
Alain Badiou wrote in Fifteen Topics in Contemporary Art: Art is a process of truth, and this truth is often a truth about perception or sensibility. This form of sensibility does not refer to the perceptual imitation of reality or romantic expression, nor is it opposed to rationality, but it points to the perceptual connection between human and the world. Aesthetics is a discipline of this fashion about sensibility. Likewise, art is a statement on the sensibility of being. Sensibility issues are related to human's grasp of their state of existence (metaphysical understanding), to the meaning of the world, and to their understanding of themselves.
Today, we are in a wasteland of sensibility. On one hand, techonology and algorithms indulge their subjects and objects, humans in a universal abstraction. This desert-like abstraction devours human’s lively sensibility, and renders man's subjectivity vacuum by means of cybernetics . On the other hand, in the echo room of social network media, humans are standing on the lonely top of an isolated dune, with a quicksand underneath, but they in their conceit, believe themselves standing up high in the center of the world with a panoramic view. Art today is a question of political emancipation and human liberation. Perceptual exhaustion means the loss of judgment and the end of aesthetics. Hence, art will fulfill its mission to restore the original bodily experience and insight and rebuild human subjectivity. However, after the rapid momentum of radical sensibility at the birth, contemporary art seems to have fallen into the abstract dead-end of the discourse system and the spectaclizing operation of the system. Accordingly, the question comes about whether art can introduce a new sensibility and this question is also one of survival.
This exhibition is a collective of the latest works of the 15 artists from T-project. As a wild force gushing from the academic soil, the paradoxical background of T-project determines its destined sensitivity towards the tension between institutional system and the participants' subjectivity. In the long-term pedagogical and creative practice, T-project confronts its internality and externality as the two sides of Janus Face in the following question: how can artists, works of art, and exhibitions resolve the intrinsic paradox and rebel against the spectacle within their spectacle? This paradox is also an essential proposition that this exhibition aspires to respond to and discuss.

蒋斐然 艺术家、策展人,文字与影像实验者。毕业于威斯康星大学电影系,现于中国美术学院跨媒体学院当代艺术与社会思想研究所(ICAST)攻读博士,研究方向为60年代先锋派艺术。近年参与策划Inter-World-View 2019等项目,并担任UnArt线上杂志第二辑专题《科幻幕剧》特邀主编(2020)。
Jiang Feiran is an artist, curator, text and video experimenter. Jiang graduated from the Film Department of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is currently studying for a Ph.D. at the Institute of Contemporary Art and Social Thought (ICAST) at the Intermedia School of the China Academy of Art. Her research engages with Avant-gardes in the 1960s. She is a co-curator of Inter-World-View (2019) and the guest chief editor of Sci-Fi Theater for the second issue of UnArt online magazine (2020).
铜场计划 Tproject 是由中国美术学院雕塑与公共艺术学院支持的青年艺术计划,该计划策划团队由青年教师和学生在校学生组成,并自主进行项目的策划、推广和运行。所有人志愿在此工作,共同搭建一个态度开放、身份平等、学术包容的学术空间。铜场计划以雕塑教学为核心出发点,双向面对雕塑本体的空间问题以及社会雕塑的空间问题,以计划拓展教学空间。2020年已形成以青年教师为核心的学术团队、优秀学生为代表的策划执行团队面向全社会的青年志愿者平台、公共教育四个方向的模块建设。铜场计划已由满足教学展示空间为核心需求转向创新协作式的开放型项目平台,并希望能够实现由物理空间转向社会空间的雕塑版图拓展。
T-project (Chinese name translated as Bronze Field Project) is a youth art project supported by the School of Sculpture and Public Art of China Academy of Art. The planning team of this project is composed of young teachers and students enrolled at school, and by them, the project is planned, promoted, and run independently. Every member volunteer to work here and jointly build an academic space with an open attitude, equal identities, and academic tolerance.The T-project takes sculpture pedagogy as a point of departure and confronts both the space problem of the sculpture itself and that of social sculpture to expand the teaching-exhibition space.In 2020, an academic team consisting of young teachers as the core members and a planning and execution team represented by outstanding students have been formed in four directions: a youth volunteer platform for the whole society, and public education. T-project has shifted from meeting the core needs of teaching-exhibition space to an innovative and collaborative open platform and hopes to realize the expansion of the sculpture territory from physical space to social space.
十点睡觉大企业 旨在建立一个多元化的艺术生态与创意生活互联平台。十点睡觉艺术空间由实体空间延伸至社会空间,我们将聚合不限于艺术家、策展人、设计师、创作人的各种创造力资源,为不同背景的参与者提供参切身的艺术感知体验。十点睡觉大企业同时提供新兴材料的实验平台,探索物质材料艺术化、创意化的转换路径和实现方式,为参与者提供新的介入方式及创作输出。在十点睡觉大企业,所有参与者都是创作者,我们将成为一个共同体,去打破艺术和生活之间的隔阂、创造与常规之间的壁垒。
Click Ten Company aims to establish an interconnection platform of creative life and diversified art ecology.Click Ten Art Space extends from physical space to social and community space. We will bring together various creative resources including artists, curators, designers, authors, etc., and provide participants with different backgrounds with personalized perceptual experience of art.Click Ten also presents an experimental platform for emerging new materials. It explores, in terms of conversion route and realization method, the artistic and creative transformation of gross materials, and provide participants with new observation methods and terminals for creative output.At Click Ten Company, all participants are creators. Together we will become a community to break the barrier between art and life, and the boundary between creation and convention.
